Los Angeles is a metropolitan city that covers 1.290 square kilometers the city is huge and the metro area alone covers smaller cities like Burbank, Pasadena, Santa Monica, and Long Beach, there are other independent cities that are not part of Los Angeles but form part of the Los Angeles county area such as Beverly Hills, and West Hollywood. The city is situated on a wide basin in southern California and is surrounded by forests, desert, deep valleys, and mountain ranges, the city has a population of about 3.8 million people and the Los Angeles metropolitan area has up to 12.9 million residents. Los Angeles has so many diverse cultures and religions as it has residents from different parts of the world and the city has up to 224 different languages which makes Los Angeles one of the most diverse counties in the united states of America the city forms part of the Los Angeles county and stretches to cover parts of the Ventura county, Orange county, Riverside County and San Bernardino County. Los Angeles is a city divided into several districts for example there is South Central, Westside, San Fernando Valley, Downtown, Harbor Area, Hollywood, and Greater Wilshire.
